Members Participate in a Motor Coach Crash Safety Training

Volunteer fire fighters from community departments gathered at Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company for a specialized training session focused on motor coach crash safety Monday May 6th. Led by Brendan Stanczyk, Safety and Training Supervisor, from Trans-Bridge Lines, the training aimed to equip responders with essential skills to handle emergencies involving large passenger vehicles.

Motor coaches, due to their size and passenger capacity, present distinct challenges during accidents. The training provided essential insights into the structural components of motor coaches, common crash dynamics, and effective extrication techniques including how to shut down a motor coach in an emergency situation. Participants engaged in a comprehensive classroom session to understand these critical factors, followed by a practical walk-around session to inspect a motor coach up close.

Trans-Bridge Lines and ESI Equipment, Inc. collaborated with Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company to host the training, emphasizing the importance of preparedness and swift, effective response during incidents involving motor coaches.
